Here’s the interesting part.
When I get a Instalanche, I don’t see an upsurge in revenue.
It seems that the people who are willing to signup for the pretty high-quality stuff at the Digital DreamGirls site aren’t the same people that read Instapundit. Rather, its the casual web surfers who end up subscribing. That is, bored web surfers are more likely to buy porn then Instapundit readers.
Who knew?
Also note that my wife, who gets to deposit the “Porn Checks” as she calls them, heartily approves.

Ah Bastard I love you too.I am very happy that you love me even though I do not make you any money, what warm irrational sentiments…well at least in terms of rational acting under principles of the money fetish.
That is what I think is interesting about our society, the money fetish thing. Value is now money accumulation, even though value of money is suspect given the rise of finance, the manipulation of money supplies, and the delinking between money and commodities via central bank (international financial institutions) being able to set the value of money through interest rates and the printing presses and basing it all on debt, rather than actual assets. We are in an era of financial capitalism, and histroy shows economic systems dominated by finance dont do very well for very long…it is a condition of money trying to save itself from economic contradicitions by exacerbating those contradictions for short term profits. My prediciton is that the USD will depreciate to reflect the real state of the US political economy…i.e. politics= irrationalism, thick ideology, and the hubris of “exceptionalism”. economics= twin deficits. destruction of manufacturing, social dislocation, housing bubble, record consumer debt, etc…a mess.
