This post from over at Captain's Quarters is actually about Howard Dean, but the title caught my eye as being ultimately true about Iraq:
Extremism will Not Win Elections
Yep. That's why we'll win. Let people vote, and they'll vote for people who are going to create a better Iraq, not people who just scream, hate, behead, etc.

I agree. Just got done reading Zbigniew Brezinski article published in the LA times, my god he is stealing my take on all this irrationality, ya bastard, zbig is one of your central “adults” in the CFR. He admits we’re screwed. This country has lost all strategic rationality and is headed into the abyss. And here is why, your ally is correct. the “base” of america is for the GOP. they are assuring our destruction with myth, superstition and totalitarian sympathies. In short, your dorks are destroying US hegemony but are too unsophisitcated to see it.
again, being anti-imperialist, i think im going to ally myself with you and vote for the republican. your irrationality makes you incompetent and your actions are destroying this corrupt nation! good for you!
