Enron was a player in the Oil For Food scandal
But only obliquely:
Not that Enron did business directly with Saddam's regime in violation of U.N. sanctions, or even did anything clearly illegal. Rather, the tale of its guest appearance in Oil for Food illustrates why in some ways the U.N. scandal dwarfs even Enron. Under cover of Oil for Food, Saddam's system of bribes, payoffs and kickbacks, ultimately totaling billions, ran through chains of often obscure middlemen in places such as Cyprus and Switzerland. Enron shows up on one of the outer spokes of Oil for Food's global web, dealing with a trans-Atlantic crew of companies and characters engaged not only in fraud, but allegedly linked to arms traffic, payoffs to the Kremlin and kickbacks to Saddam's regime. Along the way, this gang did its bit to comply via Oil for Food shipments with Saddam's policy of enforcing the Arab League boycott against Israel.

What’s more interesting is that Ken Lay of Enron is Bush’s #1 campaign contributor and personal friend. Business week reported in February 2001 that Ken Lay would be the ost powerful CEO in DC due to his close personal relationship with W. Good ole Kenny Boy was on Cheney’s energy task force, and Im sure ENron was online to help sell Iraqi crude, it is too bad 911 exposed Enrons frauds and led to their downfall.(it was too hard to hide all those cayman island accounts with the FBI looking into everything, the scam was brought to light.) So you really think UN food for oil scandal is more than enron? Tell that to grandma millie in CAlifornia. While Enron was stealing BILLIONS from CA and forcing rolling blackouts Bush REFUSED price caps in the face of obvious price manipulations..(notice how without enron CA no longer has rolling blackouts,,,gee imagine)So Bush Inc was knowingly in on the CA scam, if i were Cheney I wouldnt let those energy task force papers out either.
What I think is so hilarious about “conservatives” is their dogmatic beliefs about Un corruption along with their dogmatic beliefs about the holy righteousness of their mafia president. I mean good god, how many more lies and crimes does Bush inc have to put forward before conservatives get their ass out of the pew and realize their pastor is a liar, thief and murderer? Bill Clinton is the antichrist because he has sex, Bush kills thousands and sips holy jesus water.
But anyway, Bush inc are obviously criminals and they need to be impeached then put on trial for war crimes and high treason. The majority of America KNOWS the Iraq war is based on lies and horrible policy, soon the majority will want impeachment…

Im sure you notice this, but a once docile and apolitical US public is now very pissed ay Bush and conservatives in general. It is becoming fun and hip to despise Republicans and all that they stand for…greed, retribution, following fundamentalist kookoos. (not that personal freedom horseshit that republicans claim to support..haha so long as your a white christian male..everyone else.. TRAITORS with the terrorists.
