I’m guessing that the perspective of journalists who live in the effected area might have a slightly more “balanced” view than those journalists from the US, who are allowed by their distance to actively engage in schadenfreude with regard to anything that might end up reflecting poorly on those “evil neo-cons” and their pursuit to remove a genocidal dictator from power.
