how bout a redefinition of national security…for ALL citizens? national security deosnt just mean killing people in other coutnries to satisfy you bloodlust. it means CHILDREN get fed, people have shelter, and justice and equality thrive.

Doesn’t it cause you pain to strain that hard to somehow relate Katrina to Iraq? Preemption? So we should have debated sending aid in the UN?

It’s pretty clear the people in LA screwed the pooch, given that other states were hit just as hard and didn’t do so bad.

Fixing the blame isn’t the task now, its fixing the problem. We do too much blame fixing in this country and not enough problem fixing.
