This essay is absolutely riveting, unnerving, insulting, fabulous, and every adjective I can possibly think of. I could not stop reading it, although there were passages that bothered me. I wanted to go further like a an inexperienced virgin! He is right that , although, Bush had the power to give the order for war, what choices were there? How would you feel if your loved ones went to work one day or got on a plane one day and that’s all they did and died for it? I have friends whose family members died in 911, as I live in the N.E. My dear friend’s son survived Tower 2 and had to go to 22 funerals with 8 more to go and couldn’t. He still goes to counselling. He was lucky as he was on the 90th floor and saw Tower 1 go and got out before the elevators in Tower 2 stopped and his best friend did not get on but went to a meeting on the 97th floor. His life ,as well as all of the rest of ours will never be the same. We have had our own modern day Pearl Harbor! The difference is that is has affected every mode of public transportation in the world perpetrated by a religious zealot and his followers . The wolf has not been caught ! The sadness for us is that he is revered by so many other wolves who are as insane as he is and willing to follow out his goals! This essay, although deep and dark drives home that we have to continue to be vigilant that there is much evil in the world and unfortunately, it wears the face of human beings!
