Compared to his opposition in the election that made him mayor, Newsome is downright hilarious. Then again, consider the fact that there were (and likely still are) almost weekly rallies where Palestinian rights are trumpeted by people who would be executed under Palestinian rule for being gay.
Incidentally, Newsome took a lot of flack from Gonzales for having the revolutionary idea that perhaps giving the homeless citizens of San Francisco four hundred dollars, cash, a month, wasn’t the best idea, considering that 400/hobo pretty much went right into the black market via drug dealers.
